There are two types of Scientific Calculator:

1. Standard(Non-Programmable) Scientific Calculator

2. Programmable Scientific Calculator.

Non-programmable calculator is lightweight with a small screen display and simple outlook. It would be devoid of function buttons.

Programmable calculator is a little heavier one with a comparatively bigger screen display and graphic capabilities.

The A-Z alphabets buttons/keys make the programmable calculator an easily identifiable one. Storing texts, alphanumeric data, graphic functions, and facilities for internet connectivity and communications are possible only in the programmable calculator.

Programmable Scientific Calculator Models

Programmable calculators of Casio have the suffix "P" in their name like Casio fx - 502P, 602P etc.

In Casio Scientific Calculator, if model no. ends with a P letter in place of S then it is a Programmable Calculator. Otherwise, it is a Non-Programmable(Standard) Calculator like in Casio fx-991ES Plus.
